The Red Brick Wall project is designed to start conversations to highlight the changing mystical world of technology, science, time travel, Aliens, and the influence these areas have on the Arts. We also want to delve into what impact the Arts has had and continues to have on our creative state in areas outside of the entertainment sector. Our General Manager Allan, who normally takes on a role in the shadows of our operation to support his incredible team as they shine centre stage (We are amazing at that by the way!), will front this project with his background in radio communications and electronic tech stuff; somewhere in his shadowy past before the theatre enlightened his life. Allan plans to coerce others, like Matt “The Toy Man”, with similar passions in these areas to impart to us their insight with the hope that we can apply this knowledge to current and new art projects. After all Leonardo da Vinci was an artist and an engineer, through Leonardo’s work we have changed our world. Do you feel sometimes people lose sight of the impact of arts on our society and vice versa? As this project develops important questions will be asked such as: • did we reverse engineer Alien tech at Roswell to give us Velcro? • can we make a digital twin of our favorite entertainment venue and how hard would it be to perform within? • what is quantum teleportation, and why was it used on an unexpecting photon? • Can a robot act and do they really design all the websites within the Vass Theatre Group? • What is STEAM in relation to education? (We understand steam from our coffee machines power the Alex Theatre but can it power education as well?) Riveting stuff! We have a new facebook page where you can follow this project as it develops www.facebook.com/theredbrickwallproject - things are about to get a little weird! Now to try and get Allan on camera and out of the shadows! We did note things are about to get a little weird, didn’t we… ... See more
