Meet Jackie; a recently rehabilitated drug dealer trying to get his life on track after being paroled.

Meet Veronica; a full-time drug user with the devil's tongue.

They are long-time lovers who are hooked on all kinds of evil substances and bad behaviours, but mostly on one another. Their passions and struggles are examined through the underbelly of New York City and it’s people, where pride, self-transformation and the intricacies of love are examined in a lower-class world.

Melbourne Fringe Festival and The City of Port Philip are awarding 7 lucky artists with microgrants to help kick start their Melbourne Fringe Festival performance at The Alex Theatre St. Kilda!

This microgrant covers the cost of the festival registration and is open for all artists who want to stage their performance at The Alex Theatre.

The successful applications will be chosen by the creative team here at The Alex Theatre and will be notified the week ending the 24th May.

To apply, please submit your information through the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2019 EOI page on our website and include a synopsis of your show, a link to your website /your company's website and a short rationale as to why you should be awarded the microgrant.
